TO CATHOLICS EVERYWHERE

I belonged to the Catholic Church when I made Jesus Christ the LORD of my life. I resisted the promptings of the Holy Spirit to come out of it because I was steeped in Catholic tradition from the day I was born. I used everything I knew about scripture (which wasn't much) to defend the Catholic Church and explain away its tenacious flaws. I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues at Riverside Christian Center, where my new found brothers and sisters in the Lord took turns questioning my Catholic membership. One little lady just wouldn't leave me alone. She was a head shorter than me, which is short, since I'm only 5'6". I dreaded to see her coming! She got in my face in front of everyone, saying things like "What about, 'Call no man your Father?' What about bowing down to idols and graven images, and burning incense to statues of dead saints?" I resisted because I found value in faithfulness even though I had no answers for her. Catholics all over the world are being prompted with answers for those questions now by the enemy of their soul. They quickly change the subject behind a great wall of offense I call, What Did You Say About My Mama?! They say to me, 'You could have never been Catholic, or you would understand how we love our Mama Mary.' They pray to her asking and pleading for protection, for themselves and for their loved ones; they 'come and sit in her kitchen'. They think they are exempt from Jesus' command to pray to our Father in heaven because Jesus will do what his mother tells him to do. They use the water to wine miracle at Cana to justify their confidence. But Mary didn't tell Jesus what to do; she told them, "Do what he says." Still Catholics all over the world aspire to control the kingdom of heaven by establishing a relationship with Mary, by worshipping the 'Queen of Heaven' and by 'pouring out drink oblations to her' (Jeremiah 44:17) in the form of the blood of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world for their sins, which they despise and count as nothing: they don't need it, they have Mary to plead their case. She is their advocate; they choose her over Jesus the Wonderful Counselor, Lover of your soul. Why? So they can do what they want and God will have to be okay with it. It is the greatest deception perpetrated upon man since Eve saw that the forbidden fruit was desirable for wisdom. Now come I in the name of the Lord, to get in the face of Catholics everywhere, honor bound to challenge you with the same questions presented to me in 1983 when a little lady had the intestinal fortitude to get in my face more than once and ask, 'What about, call no man your Father?'! Jesus is your friend. Jesus is your deliver. He is the Alpha and the Omega! The beginning and the end! The Lover of your soul! He is the answer to every question you have! He alone loves you unconditionally. He died for you; he felt the nails and the stripes and the rejection. He alone will come again to receive you unto himself! The best news of all is, you don't need anyone else! hey! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! We praise you LORD God Almighty! We give you glory! We give you all the glory for your Unspeakable Gift to us in your beloved only begotten Son, Jesus Christ! O Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! We celebrate you now and always! And if it's alright with you, Father God, we celebrate his birth in a manger about this time every year. Praise God! Praise God! Praise God! And we thank you Holy Spirit, O how you are welcome here! Hallelujah!
Merry Christmas everyone! May your New Year be filled to overflowing with the knowledge of our LORD, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Balance is a Beautiful Thing!

Writing takes diligence and willingness to carve out a place for yourself among all the distractions of life. People who rely on you seem to suddenly have more emergencies than ever. And your kids, even the grown ones, suddenly hang themselves off a cliff and you're the only one who notices. You need to develop an acute sense of balance, but balance in itself is a beautiful thing. In God's world everything is balanced. A balanced life is a godly life. I'm still learning about balance. Here at the apartment building we have dryers downstairs but I save tons of quarters by hanging clothes outside. I put up clothes lines behind the building and I had to stretch them across 50 feet of open space. I use sticks to prop them up in the center. It’s a slap-shod system but I like it because it’s mine. I can have it all perfect until Jackson, a 6 year old hurricane, comes along and uses it for his monkey bars. I love my neighbors and there isn't much for kids to do in an apartment building, so I'm not going to tell him not to climb on the old gas lines and hang form my clothes lines. Jackson likes to help me with everything he sees me doing. We have an understanding. Instead of telling him to leave my stuff alone and behave, I put him in charge of security, so to speak, and he watches to make sure things like outside doors don't get left open and drain-spouts don't mysteriously fall off the building. hey! It's all part of balance like hanging the clothes, which need to be evenly distributed on both sides of the sticks with just the right amount of weight between the old gas lines and a big old oak tree so as not to have things such as white T-shirts touching the ground at any time. But when I've hanged up 3 or 4 loads of laundry and I have everything all propped up correctly, and the wind is picking up the garments and they are all blowing nicely in the breeze, it is truly a beautiful sight! I see God as the wind in my sails! And this is what I've learned: balance is worth the effort it takes to achieve and it is really the only way many things can be accomplished. Hallelujah!
Lord, you are the wind in my sails!

HOW TO BE A 'BLESSED WIFE'

Being married for more than 36 years has given me a few insights. Men, unwittingly, put you through sneaky little underhanded 'Tests' to determine your worth, which is measured in what they consider to be 'faithfulness', the same as they do a fine car. Ladies, you are not capable of passing those tests without Jesus in your heart, giving you wisdom and telling you what to do next. The Bible says that the "faithful will abound with blessings" (Proverbs 28:20) which is the ultimate end of the faithful wife. If you are having troubled relationships, you don't need more of anything but Jesus! Jesus in your heart in great abundance = a blessed life for all. May the LORD bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you and give you His peace. Shalom!

WE SHOUTED AT THE STORM!

We used to live half-way between Rockford and Byron about 20 years ago, and one very hot day I packed up my kids, along with a few neighbor kids, and went to McDonald's to cool off and eat and have some fun. When dusk was getting ready to fall, we went out and climbed the steep little hill up to Walmart, just for fun.
My kids were running through the sprinklers in front of the garden display when it suddenly turned so black I could no longer see them! Things began flying all around me! I started to call out for my kids but I couldn’t even hear myself shout! There was a deafening roar like a freight train!
I became terrified! I turned to run into Walmart, but my kids and their friends were scattered over by the garden tent, so I couldn't leave them! I turned and faced the storm. I had to lean into the wind with all my might, and with all my heart I started to shout! I rebuked it in the name of Jesus! I said, “You leave my kids alone and don’t touch them! You stop! You cease and desist, in Jesus’ name!”
Suddenly, like little lights in the darkness, I started seeing my kids and their friends here and there, and they were shouting too! They were rebuking the storm in the name of Jesus!
Then it was gone!
Lights were out everywhere, in Walmart, and all the way down the street. Sirens were going off; poles were down! My kids never forgot the day we rebuked the storm in Jesus’ name!  ...and I know their friends didn't either! Hallelujah!

Avengers 2 - Power in a Word!

I was just watching Avengers 2 for the umpteenth time because I can’t just walk past the TV if it’s on, no matter who’s watching it. There are too many exhilarating parts to give them all justice! The special effects are unsurpassable for realism and each actor in their own right should get some kind of award, (even if I have to make one up myself!).
My most heart-pumping scene: Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr., trashes his Iron Man suit in a confrontation with an inter-dimensional portal-opening mechanism on the roof of his skyscraper. He sets down on his penthouse floor to get another suit, which his electronic butler says is not 'quite ready for action'; worse, the arch-villain, Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, has taken over his building.
When Loki grabs him by the neck, Tony Stark displays a calmness few could do as well as Robert Downey Jr., choking out the words, “Deploy! Now would be a good time, Jarvis!” He gets one word out, “Deploy!” a couple more times as he goes crashing through the glass because he is thrown out the window by Loki. He demonstrates his confidence in that one word, 'deploy', by assuming the position of a skydiver as he hurtles to the ground.
While the evil Loki is leaning over to watch, a bullet shaped projectile the size of an end table suddenly thunders past him, knocking him over on its way out the window, and makes a jet propelled b-line for Tony, who is still holding his arms and legs out in position. The torpedo opens up and gently attaches to his wrists and ankles and thus covers his whole body just in time to prevent him from hitting the ground… the thrusters come on and Tony Stark is once again the battle ready  Iron Man!
Dear friends, there is a name that we have been given, a name that is above every other name in heaven and on earth. There is no other name by which we must be saved. At the sound of this name, angels deploy and race to the rescue! At the sound of this name the enemy falls back helpless! At the sound of this name we are saved from every kind of trouble known to man. At the sound of this name the earth rejoices and sings for joy. Hallelujah! Call on the name of Jesus in your hardest and most difficult time, dear friend, and be saved in Jesus’ name! Hallelujah!

ACT OF VALOR --- A motion picture featuring active duty Navy Seals!

The BEST soldier movie I’ve ever seen! You go into the heart of the battle alongside America’s best and bravest!   I cried and shouted at the highly trained U.S. Seal Team's response to the capture of a woman CIA Agent with a breathtaking and precision strike to rescue her from her tormentors. But that was only the tip of the iceberg covering a terrorist plot to destroy America on a level that "makes 911 look like a walk in the park"!

A powerful battle film with techy gadgets and skillful warriors that made me glad they are my protectors!

Worth Watching!

How Much Do You Know?

1 Corinthians 8:2-3

If anyone supposes that he knows anything, he has not yet known as he ought to know; but if anyone loves God, he is KNOWN by Him.

Jesus said there are ones to whom He will one day say, Depart from Me, for I never KNEW you. Matthew 7:23

(I never knew you because you never loved Me.)

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 1 John 4:20

So we’re back to that again. Hey!

Dear friends, love the brethren, love your neighbor, love God, so that one day you may stand before Him guiltless, and He will say to you, WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT. Hallelujah!
